May 2, 2005 11:43 - Our next Mothers Day photo gift idea.

Our next Mothers Day photo gift idea is a great gift for Mom or anyone else you're shopping for.

Photo coasters are practical, don't take up much room, and are a clever way to share family photographs without needing space for frames or photo albums. They can be home made using photo transfer techniques onto store bought wood or stone coasters or can be as simple as inserting photos into glass coasters specificly designed to hold pictures. We describe a number of ways to make photo coasters on the Picture Coasters page of our website.

Whichever technique you choose, photo coasters are sure to be a hit! Keep watching this blog for more Mothers Day photo gift ideas!

May 4, 2005 07:22 - Top 5 Mothers Day photo gifts

We've already shared two Mothers Day photo gift ideas in this blog. Now, here's number 3. This one's for the working woman who wears an ID badge to the office, but this idea could also be incorporated into other items that can handle labels.

A Photo Badge is a very unique photo gift perfectly suited for Mothers Day. It's functional and fun and, best of all, it looks like you've spent lots of time and energy creating it when it's really very simple.

May 7, 2005 08:22 - The #1 Mothers Day photo gift idea is still doable

One of our favorite photograph gifts is a perfect choice for Mothers Day. Homemade photo soap is unique, personal, and easy to make.

If you have just a few hours and enough time to go to your closest craft store to buy any supplies you don't already have, you can make this soap today and give it to Mom tomorrow. Follow the instructions on our photo soap making idea page and you'll be on your way to the best Mothers Day gift yet. Note: If you don't have a laminated photo and don't have time to get one laminated before you'll see Mom, try making soap with embedded flowers, lavender, or plastic toys, and then try out the photo soap idea another time.

May 8, 2005 16:33 - It's not too late to give a great Mothers Day gift!

Well, OK, it might be too late for some of us! Others of us are fortunate enough to have a few days before seeing Mom and she'll never know that her Mothers Day gift wasn't ready and wrapped on the actual day!

If it IS too late for you to get or make a special Mothers Day gift, you can still make her a thoughtful photo card. All you need is a photo-quality printer (or access to one) and some digital photos. Even without special greeting card software, you can print one or several of your favorite photos, fold the printed paper like a card, and write your sentiments with a sharpie marker. Software would definitely make for a prettier card but be creative.

I received an e-mail this week about what we owe to our mothers. Here it is:

I OWE IT TO MY MOTHER

1. My mother taught me TO APPRECIATE A JOB WELL DONE.
If you're going to kill each other, do it outside. I just finished cleaning."

2. My mother taught me RELIGION.
"You better pray that will come out of the carpet."

3. My mother taught me about TIME TRAVEL.
"If you don't straighten up, I'm going to knock you into the middle of next week!"

4. My mother taught me LOGIC.
" Because I said so, that's why."

5. My mother taught me MORE LOGIC.
"If you fall out of that swing and break your neck, you're not going to the store with me."

6. My mother taught me FORESIGHT.
Make sure you wear clean underwear, in case you're in an accident."

7. My mother taught me IRONY.
"Keep crying, and I'll give you something to cry about."

8. My mother taught me about the science of OSMOSIS.
"Shut your mouth and eat your supper."

9. My mother taught me about CONTORTIONISM.
"Will you look at that dirt on the back of your neck!"

10. My mother taught me about STAMINA.
"You'll sit there until all that spinach is gone."

11. My mother taught me about WEATHER.
"This room of yours looks as if a tornado went through it."

12. My mother taught me about HYPOCRISY.
"If I told you once, I've told you a million times. Don't exaggerate!"

13. My mother taught me the CIRCLE OF LIFE.
"I brought you into this world, and I can take you out."

14. My mother taught me about BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION.
"Stop acting like your father!"

15.. My mother taught me about ENVY.
"There are millions of less fortunate children in this world who don't have wonderful parents like you do."

16. My mother taught me about ANTICIPATION.
"Just wait until we get home."

17. My mother taught me about RECEIVING.
"You are going to get it when you get home!"

18. My mother taught me MEDICAL SCIENCE.
"If you don't stop crossing your eyes, they are going to get stuck that way."

19. My mother taught me ESP..
"Put your sweater on; don't you think I know when you are cold?"

20. My mother taught me HUMOR.
"When that lawn mower cuts off your toes, don't come running to me."

21. My mother taught me HOW TO BECOME AN ADULT.
"If you don't eat your vegetables, you'll never grow up."

22. My mother taught me GENETICS.
"You're just like your father."

23. My mother taught me about my ROOTS.
"Shut that door behind you. Do you think you were born in a barn?"

24. My mother taught me WISDOM.
"When you get to be my age, you'll understand."

25. And my favorite: My mother taught me about JUSTICE.
"One day you'll have kids, and I hope they turn out just like you ."
