A digital photo picture frame is the perfect gift for that someone who seems to have everything... OR for just about anyone on your Christmas list (or Birthday, Fathers' Day, Mothers' Day, Anniversary,...)! You don't need to be technically-savvy to be able to work a digital picture frame... at least not with the better frames.
Since I'm a deal-hunter, I must admit that we've given some fairly rotten digital frames as gifts. I found a brand that was extremely well-priced (more like crazy-cheap) a few years ago, so I bought several for Mothers' Day gifts. Well, I figured out why they were so cheap! They worked... barely... but getting them to work required major technical ability and a great deal of patience. I still get a call from my Mother-in-Law every time she wants to show off her grandkids on the digital frame. Boy, did I learn my lesson!
With the better frames, you simply take your memory card out of your camera and stick it in the frame. The default settings are generally what most people will want to use and the interface to change those settings is usually very intuitive.
I've since tried several digital picture frames and the ones I absolutely love the best are from (See specific models below.) They have several sizes to choose from and beautiful frames. They're not cheap, but, in this case, quality really DOES matter. After all, do you really want your Mother-in-Law calling you more often?
