Sorry for the HUGE delay in answering this question! One easy approach might be to purchase a quilt with lots of blank, white (or off-white) squares and then iron-on photos onto the squares. Buy some photo iron-on paper and then just iron it to the quilt.
It might not end up as beautiful and perfect as individual squares of photo printed fabric, but it will still be special and beautiful I'm sure!
