Picture Screen Savers

are a fun way to share your photographs.

Picture Screen Savers Example 1

Change your computer to rotate through your favorite photos using picture screen savers. It’s like flipping through your photo albums every night.

Make your computer part of the party by scrolling through theme-related photographs. For example, at your child’s first birthday party, let your PC rotate through all of those many pictures you’ve taken over the past 12 months. At your grandmother’s birthday, wow the rest of the family with a simple screen saver slideshow of the old family photographs. They’ll think you’re amazing and it’s a very simple process.

After you’ve mastered this at home, why not offer to change your parents’ computer screen saver the next time you’re at their house?

How to create picture screen savers:

Step 1: For Windows XP: Click Start and then choose “Control Panel”. Select “Appearance and Themes” and then “Choose a Screensaver”.

For older Windows: Click Start and then choose “Control Panel”. Choose “Display” and go to the “Screen saver” tab.

Step 2: On the dropdown under “Screen saver”, choose “My Pictures Slideshow”.

Step 3: Click “Settings” and browse to the folder on your harddrive where the photographs are located.

Hint: If you want only a few of your pictures to be included in your screen saver, create a new folder and copy just those photos into it. Then, of course select it on this screen.

Step 4: Play around with the other options on this screen. Checking “Use transition effects between pictures” makes the screensaver even more fun.

Step 5: Click “OK” to get back to the screen saver window. Click “Preview” to see what it will look like.

Step 6: Click “Apply” to save and “OK” again to close.

Hint: Make sure to check that each picture is facing the correct direction or you'll end up with everyone in your home turning their heads sideways to see some of the photos.

Picture Screen Savers are just one way to share photographs.
